Our Twist of Fate
When the cocks awaken our
sleeping spirits with their crows.
And the sun peeps with a yawn;
getting ready to begin
it’s work of lighting the earth,
We always will remember,
That true love brought us hither.
In a blink of an eye closed,
And in time less than seconds,
All of the earth can conspire,
with the gods and elements,
To dramatically twist
The fate of humans once dark,
To shine alongside the stars.
Nothing has happened by chance.
Nothing will happen by chance.
For all that we see is art;
Designed by the maker’s hand.
Some days luck is his pencil,
Other days fortune his paint–
He’s detailed with every stroke.
There will always be good men
Doing those things that are good.
And there will be bad people,
Lurking to do evil things.
But a twist of fate could cause
For good men to do evil,
And for men bad to show love.
Fate has come to dwell with us.
For it has lost it’s way home,
It has forgotten it’s route,
And hence does not know it’s root.
Fate is a friend with no friend,
How it smiles even in gloom.
Controlling us like remotes.
