Review: “Morticians” by Sango ft. GrandSun

Rudolph’s “mortician” is a poem that talks about the various ills of society and basically how unfair life can be.
To write a review will mean giving an in-depth evaluation of a certain article and to be honest , this one turned out to be a Herculean task, this is because most of the poem was rendered in a language I do not understand, and secondly I had little time at hand to research and write this review.

The first part of the poem was rendered in Yoruba .The second part of the poem was rendered in English where the poet addresses issues of the killings in our society , boko haram , leaders who fly private jets and harass the masses, greed of humanitarian workers , just to mention a few.
He also goes further to state that those who dare to find answers, ask questions and end up in caskets.

There was so much energy in the first part but was not maintained in the second part. For a poem like the “mortician “ , a lot of emotion is needed to send home the message.

As much as I enjoyed the tempo, Style, rise and fall of this poem, in my opinion this is not a poem for everyone for I didn’t get the most of it.
