Review: “Take A Listen” by Mala Iwa

Mala Iwa gbado’s “ take a listen” is yet another poem woven around politics , government, governance , democracy and the masses.
The poet was meticulous and found a pretty balance to creativity through simplicity.
Based on the poets use of tenses, it can be said that he channeled this piece to the people below the food chain who give much and yet receive so little.
He goes further to describe their ruler and leaders as people driven by greed and the people too under demanding, no wonder he is asking them to take a listen with the exception that it changes their future decisions.
The background music well suited the piece and the rise and falls in the piece in my opinion gave emphasis to what emphasis was to be given to.
