Forgive Me If I Don’t Believe You

This was what he would say;
I am afraid of losing you,
You where born to make me happy .
His “i love you” came easily
And his touch was convincing.
In lust i was totally blind.

His flaws were visible to the blind.
That i did not say
His arrogance was convincing ,
I see the same thing happening to you.
I was manipulated easily
In the name of being happy.

The truth is that you deserve to be happy,
But know that true love is not blind.
All that is good should come easily.
So the next time you open your mouth to say
” forgive me if i don’t believe you”
i can understand, we all need convincing.
