Forgive Me If I Don’t Believe You

I had so much trust in you,
you pierced my heart deep,
with words that sounded true,
you gave love another meaning,
made it look like the poems I read,
until I found out they were vague

The love you professed was vague,
I believed so much in you,
your love notes to me was always a good read,
Now the pain I feel is so deep,
your words no longer have meaning,
I even doubt your name to be true.

My love for you was true,
emotions shown were not vague,
you gave my life meaning,
but now I don’t trust you,
your words no more pierces deep,
fictions are just the poems I read.
