Oblivion

and a
bird flew by
right after a decade.
it was a tenner
of living and
lifelessness.
a little birth to
remind you of dying.
and death to remind
you of you.
and war
and madness
and woe
like we’ve never known it.
but you weren’t moved
not by sounding shrapnel,
not by broken dreams
not by the bird that flew
not by you
