Oblivion

so I slowed down,
dropped all my worries
i’ll be fine, free from the reveries
not today, maybe not today.
this much is true of
the man, accused of robberies
arson, murder, theft
who has disguised himself beautifully
wearing his own attire and face
beating his own drum and dancing
we are all dancing too
coalition of losers and winners
the merry-go-round
doesn’t go everywhere.
