Reply to Linda Gregg’s ‘Asking for directions’

time taught me time
doesn’t tell anything we do not say
some words have lived in my head
when their true place of abode
should have been through your ears
to your heart.
this is not how i wished it ended
i lost my way trying to find you
i knew love to be patient,
kind but not anymore.
nobody should be made
to live with a love that
will refuse profusely to die.
time doesn’t do enough to heal a man
it offers only scenarios,
scripts, scenes upon scenes.
