A world without mirrors
i’ll learn to carry my hair like a ladder,
lift it when I choose, place it like a banner
wake with an unclean face
care so less about grace
and know to never be judged for that matter.
but the eyes will not be part of this ordeal
like a pin, it’d pierce deep and it will reveal
how it’s easy to lie
that the log in your eye
is the mirror effect that leaves us unreal.
