Miracles Abound

A blink and everything stays the same
Except, 3 months saunter by
I remember cold, I remember loneliness
The shadows in the room do not tally
Embalmed in cocoon of imaginary webs
I can’t cry, I can’t dial
I’m awake in limbo
Silently decapitating my thoughts
In the catacombs of trepidation
The ones I must muster courage
To never dredge up
I’m waiting for something to hit me
The skies open for thunder
Maybe next the storm
Instead, out crawls a miracle.
