The love I wish I had

I wish you like I do peace on earth
A calm mind, in a state of chaos
Failing to hold up
Winning at keeping on
You’ve kept me grounded
As a stranger to a map, in search
I wish a love like Delilah did Samson
Or Abraham did Isaac,
Sacrificial.
I wish a love flowing like the red sea,
That falls on me like manna did in the wilderness
I wish for you in all forms
A friend, a lover, a conquest.
A game I promise to win
While I lose myself.
I wish you in my infinity, crossed double.
A love my mother never had,
One my sister never prided in.
A forgetful one that I’ll always remember.
I wish for you, but me first.
