Understanding “The Mask on the Masquerade” by Miidong Daloeng

1.Irregular. This is because I can’t figure out the rhythm.
2. “The mask on the masquerade is just a mask”. A mask makes a man a masquerade, but without a man, it is useless, and without the mask, the man is just a man.
3. The poem reminds me of a certain nightmare that ended with some lean kind of humour.
4. Similes. The similes are quite effective
5. “I know what I know”. I would have avoided the line.
6. The message is about fear and it’s limits.

LARDO
