Frozen Friends

We don’t talk anymore like we used to
Ears still bare conversations, leftovers
What kills me is how I can’t get this through
Enemies should have never been lovers
The high is way too strong for pot covers
This cold blows everything over the roof
The debris hanging on each wall is proof
Lately, I have missed my old friend, Belly
It started with a spark, absolute spoof
Hope she survives now, my dearest Shelly.
