Why Did You Create Me?

MOSQUITO
Of what use am I to you?
Weak, worked and I wonder why
I am the smallest of Creation
And my race is quickly nearing extinction
Well, we are known for the wrong reasons
Reasons that build up to our execution.
Malaria is the foe whose woe I can trust.
Of what use am I to man and the world
To cause them to fall on their knees?
Hear them cuss and curse me for living my purpose?
To help them remember you?
They say that you’re just and love
Do you remember to consider me?
Does my small, sharp mouth fool you?
They say you’re God, I say I never met you.

Victor Oyedele

GOD
Who made the butterflies,
The weevils and tsetse flies?
Who made the bugs in the bed,
And the lice who live on skins and head?
Have you thanked me for the wings to fly around
So many of your kind creep on the ground?
Have you seen the ants?
They live on scary hills and under dirty plants.
But I found you a home with man.
Among your equals, I gave you fame,
You are my art, I made you for my name.
I am not just a God for man,
I care about you, I am your fan.
Worry less, the race of man would end even.
Just prepare your souls, until we meet you in heaven.
