Why Did You Create Me?
PRAYING MANTIS:
To whom do I pray to?
Why am I the meal a predator prayed for?
Why am I green, the color of your eyes?
Yet the best you gave me we’re just jaws?
Is it true I can kill a lizard?
If I can kill a lizard, can I kill a crocodile too?
If my ancestry speaks of anthropoda
why don’t my wings take me higher and closer to your eyes?
I have been prostrating all my life, I respect you.

To the one whose fingers snapped you to life you pray.
Have you asked the sun why she shines shyly?

Is it true that Pinocchio doesn’t lie?
A chicken once said all chickens lie,
Does the chicken say the truth?

You’re there for this humans to remember what they should daily do.
Answers will come when you stop to pray; listen too,
There is no list for predator or prey, you’re neither of you’re both.
As you clasp your hand try to bend your knees before you pray
And stay away some lights, I am not the one in all;

And wall geckos do not fear you oh Mantis,
Wall Geckos do not believe in Me.
