The Dove that dove into the bushes.

There was once a little dove
no one knew something about.
He was small as small could be
With feathers we thought the world
Would die to see and adore.
“I will make my mother proud “
he said the first time we flew.

We knew this dove and its nest,
his friends and the songs he sang
Too quick that it blinded us all
From truths that mattered the most.
He was the spark in our lives,
The canvas, paint and painter.
Some of him he let us see.

He had joked about his pains,
We laughed and thought he; funny.
Though small ,he bore our false world.
A chance to show his wings came,
He said he was done with life
and dove into the bushes.
We laughed. That day, he died.
