The mask i take off every morning

Nights go, mornings come with their scare
To take all and nothing to spare
We change clothes to keep the façade
We change our masks to fit the times
Else we will become just like mimes

I strip myself of the night’s dream
Those that come without the screams
Like jumping out of pyjamas
Lock the real me in a closet
Every season needs a new set

Put on a convenient face
Letting the day decide the race
Are we all not two-faced sometimes?
Take off the mask, wear another
To claim everything is better
