Questions I Never Asked

I wonder how you came to be
A swordsman crafted with his pen
So worded in your primal core
Tenderness hails from your tough hide

I’d love to pry your secrets out
Display them in the arms of day
Cry you a river to swim in
When the world threatens to drown you

I have tons of questions to ask
Hoping they shatter my coy state
Unbind those chains around my neck
Formed by mindless myopic zones

Taste this rhetoric from my tongue
A thousand times I’d raise my hand
Pardon me please, don’t be displeased
I dare my nerves to let me try.
