Questions I Never Asked

Before the sun sets in the evening
Before the morning dew, I sit to wonder
Why we have umbrellas and still get beat
By rain that our brooms can not sweep.
Why some have eyes that can not see
With minds that refuse to think far
Far enough to light the stars in the sky, or
Paint the edges of the rainbow.
What will be should never ever be
If what will be should really be
Then we should have rain fall
Sunshine, stars plus moon light at the same time.
I wonder why the earth never sleeps
But forces us all to slumber
This I never ask from any-one
For who would know what wave rumbled the boat.
