Questions I Never Asked

Why are shooting stars always so fast?
Every year, I try to wish on one,
But with a speed that mocks my stride,
It flies across the galaxy.

Did Adam name the cockroaches too?
Were dinosaurs in Noah’s ark?
Did he let mosquitoes in or did they sneak?
Why are cheetahs faster than their king?

Why exactly do we advance in age?
From children, to youths, to old age which is like childhood again.
The immortal Greek gods, do they exist?
How could myths be so credible?

Why don’t we ever really get answers,
Just yes, no or wait, no explanations.
Why are happy dreams a sign of sorrow?
Why aren’t we ever sure of tomorrow?
