Second Guess

The line has been drawn on sand
The race begun for the last stand.
Hell is a place a little too cold
Like what a snail’s shell should hold
As the river reflects a man’s face
So the heart portrays a man’s chase
Pick up sticks, and prepare the fire
Sound the alarm, and inform the choir
It’s time for the dance under the moon
Move, and shake exactly to the tune.

The twist is somewhere in between
Just appear right on the scene
The belly is the end of a proud apple
The cathedral was once a humble chapel
The reign’s rain ends where the ground soaks
Most mess end up as funny jokes
Second guess if you would
But life is not one to be understood
No manual, it is a personal race
Prepare to take your place.
