Second Guess

The leaves danced and beat against the window
As though the wind played the disco
I should have listen when my sweater called out to me
but my cleavages wanted to be free
The cloud now had a gloomy look
And I knew it won’t be long before the rain came out to play
My corsets held on tight to my body like they wouldn’t let go
While my pearl pendant found its resting place between my breasts
I should have know better to take the jacket
But my plans had me rush out of the house
No thanks to the alarm that wouldn’t stop singing it’s favorite tune reminding me of how late I was
but it was my mirror that kept me occupied
I love how she looked into my soul
Revealing me to me
Anyway, here I am soaking well
The storm sure took out its aggression on me
My eye liner crawled down my cheeks making me look like a zombie bride
All I wanted at the moment was to be cuddled up by my duvet and pillows
but we don’t all get what we wished for
As my keys had decided to stay back while I left
And the doors won’t let me in.
