Second Guess

Tear drops are no starter for an ocean,
Desert sands builds no mud house either,
I loved you till I found no other title,
But little piece of cake is the baker’s reference.

Like David stood Goliath to squash his fears,
I was here for you at the expense of your fears,
An Oliver you always wanted more than I gave,
You found a second guess in your search for nothing.

The sweet birds sang songs of doom,
You ignored my feelings for you,
I loved you till I found no other title,
You left, leaving no recipient to my bloom.

The sky was wet and rained on you envy,
Now you’re wet and find a comfort you owned,
But little piece of cake is the baker’s reference,
I’ve had a piece, I speak no good review.

You tricked me to believing I was weak,
Whilst you were the mischief.
I’m sorry Trust, you lost me with your doubting,
I, Love, would find you in another body not you.
