And so it came to pass (II)

She held my head, staring in my eyes.
Her hands were cold and felt like ice.
She talked of wars and uprisings.
Then sang of love and upbringing.

Her hut was one I’d never seen,
And I doubt if I would again.
The hut was warm like home had been,
But with her one dares not to bargain.

She asked for my date of birth,
Then looked to the sky counting the stars.
She talked of wounds and a few scars,
But said my life would be one of mirth.

The astrologer has never been wrong,
I doubt if she’d be wrong this time.
All she said had come to pass,
And all that has passed she had once said.
