The Water Settles For Me

Feathers ruffle and ripples are created
Out of joy the sharks leap out naked
but when the waves get to my feet faded
the water settles for me
I may sound jaded
Bottles in my hands may have you think I’m wasted
They carried a message for which I have long waited and that is why
The water settles for me
I may not have the courage that Peter didn’t display
But all my dues I sure paid
When my peace the bellows try to invade
The water still settles at my feet
The winds set the love of the water in motion
Waves rolling over each other without caution
They carry a message of love to me from Poseidon
And he knows I got it when the water settles at my feet.
