Water Won’t Quench This Thirst

The void in my heart
None can fill
The thirst in my soul
Beyond the spring of freshwater
And I love to dress up
Such as will make the peacock shy
But the gulf widens
The taste of good food
Provokes good diction in me
And money in my pocket
Commands me to misbehave
A beautiful sight
Removes the zip sealing my lips
But none of these
Can quench the thirst
Only the Almighty can fill in my heart
