Water Won’t Quench This Thirst

The wants and desires of my heart,
Unending.
The growling inside my stomach has nothing to do with not eating.
Nothing is promised on earth,
Only death is sure.
All that i desire, hazardous
Coming for my throat while gently rubbing my neck.
For this apple, I’ll risk conquering the Everest bare chested.
I’ll fight every single bear in the wild with no weapon.
Three springs’ content can’t quench this thirst,
No ocean depth can put out this fire that doesn’t burn,
but drives one to the edge of the hill.
