Poetry: Difference Between A promise and a Vow

Say you’ll never leave
Even after my bones kiss earth
It’ll be for me mirth
Still a reason to let a heave
For words are blocks of promises
built from a pack of cards
They have no guards
without true accomplices

A vow, a vow!
Cut me open till my heart speaks
I’ll be the valve for when a promise licks
A promise can be a vow
When tears, emotions and truth mix
The heart will believe its psyche
The thought that now and forever look alike
Is what keeps a promise and a vow in the same mix
