Logs.

only when you plant a tree does it be.
come an umbrella from lightning
that strikes twice from the same spot(too).
there is a yearning to chop off branches spring—
ing from bad trunks under the same sky.

so last night, its tree fell
cut off stories that held pain as leaves,
laughter as the wind that blows and roots that helped the waters of today.
—i woke up today and saw logs of words,
logs of sound that make my feet eat.
logs of brightness that colors life.
logs of friendship that is anchored towards babies.
two-day i be.
come an astronomer that lives on trees,
i study the ways of the old masters
and how there is an alchemist in every mind
that grows logs from seeds.
