Reply to Robert Frost’s ‘The Road Not Taken’

in Midgard

there is no footpath to colors
whatever be, is for the free
there’s a moon hanging
slowly touching the hairs of our water.
there’s a footpath on the sky
no one will find home.

in this place is a wall
bounding the world of words
there’s a biography of the ground
read in a tomb of white or black,
there’s a footpath to the sky
only for those whose journey is complete

do not try your feet in this room
do not sink your weight
do not push the clouds.
in this place—rosaries
lead the voice back home
to the place it all began
with
you
