Petty people

people who do not let grudges be water
that flows freely, they hold on, turn a squatter,
always chewing the cord,
striving with no reward,
run from them when it’s time for someone’s daughter.

not every story is black, sometimes it’s just
harmless bants that requires no rise of dust,
some faces need no name,
they’ll always be the same,
being petty is a choice and sometimes, we must.
