Love in a person

I have learnt
love doesn’t have to stay
it may last for minutes
in form of help to a stranger
it may last for hours
in form of empathy for a friend
it may last for as long as we stay
and leave the moment we disperse
love is water
it flows until none is left
some will drink
others will bathe
some will wash
others will splash
some will evaporate
others will dry up
drop by drop
pour by pour
we fall, remain in love
for as long as our sources
continue to run.
