Poems about anger

what you choose to deny
or turn a blind eye to
or wear a deaf ear for
or close your skin pores to
is what you accept. it’s yours

naming a spade a spoon
doesn’t mean it isn’t a spade,
it’s your choice to stand
on a cliff of a dishonest stone.
it’s your choice. it’s your stand

the pain you refuse
is what you want to change,
is what you are free from,
what you want to change
you do not choose
