Lessons religion should learn
If a God exists, he’s probably you—
broken and washed up on some days
has the strength of a bear
but his eyes can still not hold a tear.
If a God exists, she’s probably not you—
unbroken and stiff like clouds
owns a bank of hood egos
that even in dreams it echoes.
If you do have a God, be him
be water, do not be an enemy
do not be a scar like a cross forgot its roots in Golgotha
be a cloud that fade away after a rain.
Learn that Good is as bad, just a word,
what the heart becomes is what the core of God should be
not just prophets, or saints, not just a bunch of dead men on old ceilings.
