Lessons religion should learn

man is a hymn
that won’t sing itself
thou shall love thine self
to love thine neighbour
the gospel of sin and hell
no longer scare the flock
who decides if a book is holy
love is a theme
kindness is a subject
not the sleeting Sulphur
nor the brunt of brimstone
when blood falls in water
it purifies itself
when water pours in blood
it becomes blood.
