Mother Nature

there’s time and space,
please don’t disgrace
and put to shame
your mother’s face.

who tells the sun
to rise and fall?
who teaches blood
the art of clothing?
what prompts the birds
to sing Mozart?
these patterns are
too patterned to
have happened by chance.
these paintings
are too vivid
for this to be a mirage.
mother nature,
who gave birth to you?
