we must be wary
of words we’re reading
the notes on texts
and speech we’re giving
if i write about you
and you write about me
we may both be fibbing
if i read about me
when i write about me
i may speak honestly
or deny being me
if you write about me
and do so earnestly
would it entertain
or contain me?
