Focus: This Picture (I)

When I wear my mask
I’m still me
The palm oil is a covering
For the luxurious white yam

Faces cover a multitude of ills
Post office faces
Blank, untouched,
Backed by uncaring minds
No evil intended
Just aloof to your pain

Smiling faces
Concealing pain
Expressing joy
Giving hope.
Of the abundance of my heart
My face
My mouth will speak

Bose.
