A Subtle Way To Die

On very cold nights in Jos,
27th December to be precise,
Pull naked and lie on the tiled floor
Of St. Moses.
Pray,
Pray for the God of Elijah
to send down fire
to keep you warm.
If he doesn’t,
Pray to Ba’al, or Sango
or Thor.
They will come through for you.
If they don’t.
Lie down still on the tiles of the Church.
You’ll wake up in heaven.
