The year acts as a clock
Hitting 12 like it is the end
Only to continue ticking
Those who died should rest
The rest of us to our own test
For friendship bills not paid
Some will threaten to cut us off
Goals scored will be celebrated
Those missed might be retaken
Teeth will shine from dark hearts
Already broken promises will rise
Families and allies shall be reunited
25th is my friend and she’s looking rice
