He is fair and forgiving
He wonders why we were made
He hears the thumps of our thoughts
He sees what we do not
He wants us to be wise

I pretend to believe in him
I feel he may not believe in us
I touch lives without rewards
I worry that i may be right
I cry about the harm this has done
I am sick and wary of beliefs

I understand it won’t be better
I say so because it won’t
I dream of days that may be awake
