In God, In Us

He is jealous and all the firstborn of the world
He wonders why men wonder what he wonders
He hears the cries of unborn children aborted
He sees the deepest creeks of man’s heart
He wants for us to follow his son
He is jealous and all the firstborn of the world

I pretend I do not love that he (God) cares
I feel irritated at the actions done in my head
I touch the bowl of God when I pray for grace.
I worry I want to sit with him in Heaven to talk sometime.
I cry that he has to allow some pain happen like Re’enjap’s departure
I am a black felt skin from God’s flesh.

I understand only God is the creator
I say he lived in the world before we set foot here.
I dream that I will hear the thoughts of my enemies
I try to be repentant after a sin
I hope God doesn’t get tired of men
I am a black felt skin from God’s flesh.
