Frozen Friends

The frog and the Scorpion met at the stream,
Became best friends and could not stay apart.
Though all the frog had wanted was a swim,
Scorpion insisted he wants to be part.
Scorpion derived a plan since he was smart.
With Scorpion on his back, frog starts to float,
Frog kept on paddling like he was a boat.
Close to the stream’s bank frog felt a sharp pain,
Scorpion had stung him and clawed on his throat.
Poor frog sank, never to be seen again.
