My future in a nutshell

My future holds stars in awe
It got the moon to pay attention
The sun considers it a rival
Rivulets of light, rays of wonder
In hues you can only dream about

I’ve dreamt of it a thousand times
I see it when I fantasize
There is nothing I want more
Beyond the things I envision
Its the most beautiful reverie.

My nostrils make out its scent
My breaths ease up with relief
My mind has found a lullaby
My feet dance to what will one day be
And maybe is not even in consideration

It’s the battery that charges my strength
The momentum for my giddy steps
I don’t know doubt, only things I dream about
Like awards sitting pretty on shelves
My name carved in hearts, and doors of gold.
