As Human As I Am

I am a human.
Not because God made me.
Not for science that proved me to be.
Not for religion that sermons about my soul.
I am a human.
For I have two eyes, so I may slip,
And a tongue that lies even when I don’t speak.
And a nose to breathe, for to err is human.
And to forgive is up to man.
So Before you denounce me.
Call to mind, as a witness,
That I am a hue man.
Like chameleons I can change,
Like the weather I could be two-faced,
So are you, Judge!
