If I Were To Be God

If I were God, I’d change the word ‘end’
I will replace it with light.
So people don’t ever lose their sight
when they pray with their minds clasped against fear or doubt.
I will tell them to look to the end.

If I were God, I will scrape the sky
for people to have a glimpse of what they’re building.
I’d release a 10 commandments 3.0
and I’d mention that I’ve got a progress chart
of sins and of sinners, of saints and it’s members.

If I were God, I will resurrect Lazarus
the second time so he pays his debtors.
I will be angry at the world today
and tell the sun not to set until the people’s conscience resurrects.
I will make animals to talk and a donkey to be their king,
I will make the oceans seize back the tears in the eyes of men.

If I were God, I will change the locks to heaven,
I will leave for vacation and come to Nigeria,
if they try to kidnap me, I will become their mothers
if they still take me away, I will tell them I am God
and if they choose to ignore
I will seize back my air, seize back my water and seize back my mud.
If they know what is good for them
they will respect my name
and praise me till when their eyes see the end.
