What numbers Count

We walked on water while sailors sank.
Clouds concealed cawing crows from fetching fish.
Our tears and teeth became our sticks and stones.
Days doubled and bones began to show.
Number now are fellow Friends,
Ribs refuse supremacy of skin.
Dark days darken and long nights lengthen.
