From Whence Did We Get This Craze?

Bare feet ran freely through the earth
Squeals of laughter trailing behind
Happiness lived in empty cans
Hiding and seeking, seek and hide
Tire tracks and sticks marked the streets

House calls stood in place of phone calls
Trust, an easy commodity
Handshakes and hugs ran past the arm
Gender only had two boxes
Privacy wasn’t the holy grain

This age seems like eons ago
New pages, new wages, new rages
Suicide is the new prescription
Many problems labelled wrongly
The ones spelt right knocked of the shelf

Memes now teach us how to laugh out
Twitter now holds our big reveal
Foolishness is now credible
Cause there are numbers to hold it
Where did we get all these craze from?
