Review: “Drift” by Leonell Echa

This poem is a well thought out drift through the many issues rocking the entire world today. From tribalism – nepotism and religious differences. The poem seeks to knock the sense of oneness into everyone that cares to listen.
The voices on the background further stressed the point of equality, bad government, being humans first before any other hierarchy the world has grouped us into.
The poem is laced with hard truths and eye openers. Every line and word goes straight to the head.
Few that got me thinking;
“We are all first humans before we got religion and culture”
KEY MESSAGE
“Silence is the only nation that rules when we choose to hide”
“Division supersedes when we identify with tribe”
“Being your brother’s keeper is the best way we stay alive”
A classic in the class of poems, and a truth that needs to be heard!
