You’re Your Freedom

Like a cut rope, you should loosen
Twist an ankle on your way down
Let the fall leave you confusing
Then dust yourself as you’d your crown

Enough doubt is all it should take
But if you have been here before
Fear is why you are still awake
But feel too weak to shut the door.

He knelt before the truck of pain
The tyres were still moving again
He told his father he was done
And that he’s not the chosen one.

So he broke free for the first time.
He was committing a good crime
He would jump off the truck for good.
